The Terpening family has owned the property at 2300 River Road and Ruby Avenue in Eugene since May of 1944. Bill Terpening, Jr., and family have joined with others in the creation of the Terpening Terrace Senior Residential Center. This special project was constructed in the memory of Bill Terpening, Sr., and his wife, Connie Terpening. Bill worked for many years as an accountant for International Paper, and Connie was a respected 5th grade teacher in Wendling, the McKenzie District, the Junction City area, and Danebo School. For many years, their place, with its well-kept fruit orchards and manicured yard, was a showplace of beauty.
Bill Terpening Jr., and associates, have constructed Terpening Terrace with ninety living units plus every amenity needed to assure pleasant and comfortable living for those in residence. The amenities include a lovely dining area, health services, recreation and craft facilities, meeting rooms, and garage areas. Bill states that "as my folks created a showplace a half century ago, so, too, we hope to create a showplace that will be a credit to the community."
A variety of unit choices are available including studios, and 1 or 2 bedrooms with 1 or 2 full baths.
Security is important to all of us; therefore, all of our entries are monitored. A friendly receptionist welcomes all who come through the main entry.
The complete staff, which includes activity director, housekeeping, general manager, business office supervisor, personal care director, bus driver, chef, community relations, plant engineer, dining room supervisor, and beauty salon, are available to assist residents.
Come be a part of Eugene history, and retire in elegance at Terpening Terrace!
